Job Title: Project Manager - Power Plant Civil Works

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the civil works construction of our power plant project. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of all civil engineering aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of power plant construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all civil works activities related to the power plant construction project, from initial planning and design to final commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage the project scope, schedule, and budget for the civil works component.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors and ensure their compliance with project requirements and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all construction activities are performed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and permits.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and government agencies.
• Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates to senior management.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.
• Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and other construction personnel.
• Control costs and ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering construction, with a significant portion of that experience specifically in power plant projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil works projects, including experience with foundations, structural steel, concrete, and earthwork.
• Strong understanding of power plant construction processes and equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., Indian Standards, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
