Welding Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement welding processes and procedures for various projects.
  
• Conduct site visits to monitor welding operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues related to welding equipment maintenance, fabrication, and inspection.
  
• Develop and maintain documentation of welding procedures, test reports, and certifications.
  
• Provide training on welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality control measures to team members.
• Analyzing engineering designs for welding requirements.
• Overseeing a team of welders.
• Reviewing welding procedures, processes, and documentation.
• Managing welding procedure qualifications and generating welding procedures to help the manufacturing and welding teams.
• Conducting failure analyses and cause analyses on welding issues.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-7 years of experience in Welding Engineering or a related field (PG Diploma preferred).
  
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes, GTAW/SMAW/CO2/GAS/ARC/TIG/MIG/SAW welding techniques.
  
• Proficiency in WPS development, testing & validation; familiarity with robotic welding systems an added advantage.
