Planning Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software, incorporating all project phases, activities, durations, dependencies, and resource assignments.
• Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, and develop recovery plans to ensure timely project completion within budget and quality constraints.
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project progress, cost, and quality.
• Prepare and present regular project progress reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure effective coordination and communication.
• Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.
• Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
• Conduct value engineering studies and identify opportunities for cost optimization and schedule improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies in project planning and control.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 8-10 years of professional experience in project planning and scheduling within the real estate or construction industry.
• Proven expertise in using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
