Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented certification manager to join our team in the organic food industry. The Certification Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organic certification process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of organic certification requirements, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality in organic food production.
Responsibilities:
Organic Certification Process:

• Manage the end-to-end organic certification process for our products, ensuring adherence to national and international organic standards.
• Stay informed about changes in organic regulations and certification requirements.

Documentation Management:

• Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation related to organic certification.
• Prepare and submit certification applications, supporting documents, and compliance records.

Audits and Inspections:

• Coordinate and facilitate organic certification audits and inspections with certifying bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare the team for audits, ensuring compliance with organic standards.

Internal Training:

• Conduct internal training sessions to educate employees on organic certification requirements, standards, and best practices.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings.

Record Keeping:

• Establish and maintain an efficient record-keeping system for all organic certification-related documents.
• Ensure accessibility and accuracy of records for audits and internal reviews.

Compliance Monitoring:

• Regularly monitor and assess the company's practices to ensure ongoing compliance with organic standards.
• Address any non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for certifying bodies, regulatory agencies, and internal teams regarding organic certification matters.
• Communicate changes in regulations and certification requirements to relevant stakeholders.

Quality Assurance Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to integrate organic certification requirements into the overall quality management system.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 7 years of work experience in organic certification management or a similar role.
• Certifications: Certification in Organic Inspection and/or Organic Certification (e.g., IOIA certification) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of organic regulations and certification standards.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving: Ability to identify and address compliance issues efficiently.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
