Head of Quality Engineering - Salesforce

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Quality Engineering to lead our Salesforce Quality Engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our Salesforce ecosystem, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee strategic planning, test automation, cross-functional leadership, and quality assurance for Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy:
• Define and implement the vision and strategy for quality engineering across Salesforce platforms.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration between development, operations, and quality assurance.
• Drive operational excellence for CRM applications, including DevOps frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Quality Assurance & Test Automation:
• Develop comprehensive test plans and quality strategies with a focus on automation.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of end-to-end testing processes for Salesforce customizations and integrations.
• Ensure test coverage for APIs, databases, UI, and backend systems using tools like Selenium, Provar, or similar.
• Process Improvement & Metrics:
• Establish mechanisms to capture feedback during quality review cycles and act on metrics to improve processes.
• Monitor defect rates, test coverage gaps, and overall product quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
• Innovation & Collaboration:
• Stay updated on industry best practices in Salesforce quality engineering and implement innovative solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new Salesforce features or use cases that align with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 5 years leading teams in Salesforce environments.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks, DevOps practices, and tools like Java/Python/Selenium.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Lightning Platform. Experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWCs) is a plus.
• Automation Skills: Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Provar, and other Salesforce-compatible automation tools.
• Certifications: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I/II) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Git, Maven, Eclipse IDE, or similar technologies.
