Senior System Reliability Engineer - Application Support (5-8 yrs)

Introduction :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux systems, shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and a solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, continuous integration, deployment automation, and monitoring of our systems, applications, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and support Linux-based systems for application deployment and automation.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize shell scripts for system automation and configuration.

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for efficient software delivery.

- Write Groovy scripts and configure YAML for Jenkins and other automation tools.

- Administer and configure version control using Git and Bitbucket.

- Support and enhance monitoring solutions using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ITIL/ITSM processes for incident, change, and problem management.

- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in a fast-paced environment.

- Automate server provisioning and configuration management using basic knowledge of Ansible and Chef.

- Continuously improve and optimize infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and performance.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.

- Proficiency in shell scripting for system automation and task scheduling.

- Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes for service management.

- Experience with SQL for querying and managing databases.

- Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.

- Knowledge of Groovy scripting and YAML configuration for Jenkins and other tools.

- Proficient in version control using Git and Bitbucket.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.

- Basic understanding of Ansible and Chef for configuration management.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Certifications in DevOps, Linux Administration, or Cloud Technologies are a plus.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a bonus.
