Senior Engineer / Asst. Manager- Purchase

Job description

The candidate will oversee the planning, procurement and control of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Category Buyer for implementation of Bought outs category management (proprietary in nature).
• Capacity assessment of existing suppliers
• Active participation in Pre-Bidding along with various sectors.
• Conversion of Sale volumes to Purchasing volumes to ensure supplier remains in our allocated business.
• Overall monitoring of spend and control cost.
• Overview and monitoring KPIS of supplier by conducting frequent meetings
• Active support on NPDS and make sure that all aspects are being considered to achieve cost, quality and on-time delivery.
• Should possess knowledge on should cost working to manage overall cost of project.
• Monthly MIS preparation.
• Develop overarching view on supplier structure and lead supplier strategy with preferred suppliers
• Maintain visibility on savings generation process.
• Cost estimation and negotiation with suppliers.
• Active coordination with Engineering and Planning functions

- Expertise in New Product development process

- Knowledge on GD & T Knowledge on APQP

- Strong sourcing knowledge on proprietary parts such as Hydraulic pumps, Motors and Valves.

- Knowledge on VAVE

- Should be highly assertive and a persuasive leader Excellent attention to detail and time management

-Should have hands-on working experience in SAP ERP

Qualification:

-Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering Should have 10 to 14 years of experience in a Mining & Construction manufacturing Industry
