The role of the Vice President of Integrated Risk Management requires a results-oriented Technology Leader to transform operations for multiple portfolios. This person should have a strong background in modern application development, and technology operations for platforms with diverse tech stacks. The successful candidate will lead a team of Engineering Directors to apply a software engineering mentality and continuous improvement practices to provide full stack operations support for automation and modernization journey.
This person will lead the development and delivery of exciting and new platforms in the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) space, prioritize the reuse of Enterprise frameworks in new and unique ways, and engage in product evaluations in build vs buy decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated engineers to design, develop, and maintain IRM platforms. Provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to ensure delivery of scalable, reliable, and performant solutions.
Platform Development and Optimization: Drive the optimization of IRM platforms within established budgets for application delivery and platform health. Implement standard processes for performance, security, and scalability in compliance with industry regulations and frameworks. Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of system performance.
Collaboration and Integration: Work closely across teams, including product management to integrate IRM platforms with Enterprise systems, APIs, and data sources, handle shifting priorities and act as key contact for issue resolution.
Team Development and Management: Cultivate an innovative team spirit, excellence, and continuous learning within the engineering team. Provide leadership in talent acquisition, skill development, and performance management to build a successful engineering organization.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering and 12+ years of experience in related fields
Shown expertise in building and optimizing large-scale, data-intensive platforms and orchestrating migrations from legacy platforms
People leadership experience. An ability to evaluate team structures and optimize them against delivery goals and objectives
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with IRM tools and platforms, such as Archer, ServiceNow, AuditBoard, MetricStream, etc and experience in their integration with custom engineering solutions
Experience in driving engineering excellence in the areas of coding standards, code reviews, testing practices, CI/CD pipelines and adoption of DevOps standard processes
Operating teams within set budgets
Understanding of regulatory challenges related to IRM and their impact on technology platforms
