Assistant Vice President (2A) - Risk Management

• The First Line GRC function provides oversight of Technology, Third Party, Operational Resilience, Data and Privacy policies, standards, risks and controls (including validation). The function drives a better understanding of related risks and will support, advise and facilitate the Technology leadership and business risk team in actively managing risk by making decisions regarding the need for remedial actions and/or risk acceptances taking into account:
  
  The current risk profile and control environment;
  The relative scale of exposure and their likelihood of eventuating; and
  The cost and effort of remediating those exposures.

  The function also ensures each framework under Technology remains in-line with external requirements and proactively identify areas for improvements on the control environment, support client directors as part of client due diligence meetings and own the risk reporting internally and externally to MG.

  The Assistant Vice President - First Line GRC Risk Management role is accountable for leading and conducting good quality risk assessment and reporting, including delivery of risk and controls self-assessments for Technology, Data, Privacy, Operational Resilience Third Party Risk Management and acting as risk SME for change programmes.

• Accountable for delivery of risk assessment services, ensure associated procedures are developed, implemented and continually updated to ensure alignment with internal 2LoD requirements, industry best practices, evolving regulatory requirements and changing risk landscapes.
• Ensuring our stakeholders are integrated and work consistently across GRC and relevant MG plc risk framework, policies, processes and ways of working.
• Providing on-going oversight, governance reporting over the risk areas covered by First Line GRC.
• Supporting VP in managing and reporting requirements for relevant governance forums (i.e., IT Risk Forum, Operational Reviews, Service Book) and other stakeholders where relevant. This will include coordination of data gathering and ensuring the integrity of reported information.
• Working and supporting to mature the delivery and governance to allow MG to better manage risks associated with Technology, Data and Privacy.
• Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders across Technology Pillars to capture appropriate risk metric data.
• Assess the impact of any new reporting requirements on the existing reporting commitments and that of those who need to input to additional requirements.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement and quality standards for risk assessment.
• Engage with the 2nd Line of Defence Technology Risk team with a focus on maintaining an effective and coherent communication on Technology Risk management.
• Support and drive improvement opportunities for enhancing our risk culture and risk management strategy.
