Job Description:

Position Overview:

- We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating technical documentation, performing data analysis using SQL and DBT, and conducting root cause analyses to support engineering teams.

- This role is critical to bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Documentation:

- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive technical documentation for business processes, system workflows, and project deliverables.

- Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly documentation for cross-functional teams.

2. Data Analysis and DBT Implementation:

- Write advanced SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data across various systems.

- Use DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation, modeling, and pipeline management.

- Ensure data quality and integrity within analytics pipelines.

3. Root Cause Analysis (RCA):

- Investigate system or process issues to identify and document the root cause.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges effectively.

- Recommend and implement preventative solutions to avoid recurrence of issues.

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:

- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure requirements are met.

- Communicate findings, technical insights, and recommendations to non technical stakeholders.

- Work closely with engineering, product management, and data teams to align objectives and ensure project success.

5. Process Optimization and Reporting:

- Analyze existing processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 5+ yrs experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technical environment.

- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.

- Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in root cause analysis.

- Excellent technical documentation skills.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
