Project Manager - IoT (7-10 yrs)

Role definition / Goals :

- Refine the quality of engagement with customers for Proof of Concept, Live and Scale

- Identify internal and external dependencies - coordinate and resolve bottlenecks

- Improve milestone orientation, coordinate sign off and accelerate revenue recognition

- Good with communication, presentation skills and report writing (project status)

- Collaborate with underlying functions including Product development, Data analytics - Data Development, Testing and IoT integration

Nice to have attributes :

- Travel to customer locations for sign-off (when required)

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning & Execution :

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IoT projects from conception to completion.

- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.

- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure project success.

- Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely project completion.

Team Leadership :

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including IoT engineers, software developers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

- Provide guidance and support to project team members.

- Lead project meetings, track progress, and communicate any deviations from the project plan.

Stakeholder Management :

- Maintain strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals.

- Present regular project updates to senior leadership and clients, ensuring transparency and clarity.

Quality Assurance :

- Ensure the integration of best practices in software and hardware development to meet IoT standards and customer requirements.

- Manage testing and quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet quality expectations.

Budget & Resource Management :

- Develop and manage project budgets and resources, ensuring efficient use of time and money.

- Track and report on project expenses and ensure alignment with financial goals.

Risk Management :

- Proactively identify risks and issues that may affect project delivery and provide solutions or mitigations.

- Ensure project documentation is maintained, including scope, changes, and issue logs.

Technology and Innovation :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest IoT trends, technologies, and best practices.

- Introduce new tools and processes to improve project delivery, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2+ years focused on IoT projects.

- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in an Agile environment.

- Experience in deploying IoT solutions (hardware and software) across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities, or transportation.

Certifications :

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is preferred.

- Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., ScrumMaster) are a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
