Position: Cadre Manager

Eligibility:
1. Age not exceeding 35 years as on 01-01-2025 (relaxation generally up to 45 years of age can
be considered based on commensurate, relevant prior experience for deserving cases based
on Management discretion).
Desired Profile:
1. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in System Administration and Technical Support. For
further age relaxation, commensurate additional experience would be required.
2. For recruitment in all cadres, external candidates applying, having pending disciplinary action
against them at the time of applying for the position or having been punished under
disciplinary proceedings in last 5 years will not be considered eligible. All appointments are
subject to satisfactory reference / background verification.
3. Early joining will be preferred.
4. Candidates terminated by any previous employers are not eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification:
• Graduate (preceded by 10+2 /Diploma) in B.Sc (Computer Science), BCA, B Tech/ BE in CS/ IT/Circuit
Branch from a UGC recognized university. Post-graduation such as MCA, M Tech etc. will be preferred.
• Certifications (e.g., MCSA, Linux+, RHCE, Security+, VCP, CCNA) will be preferred.
Additional Skillset:
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware and RDBMS. Familiarity
with network protocols, security practices, and virtualization (VMware).
• Proven experience in managing physical server hardware, including installation, configuration,
and maintenance.
• Expertise in conducting security audits and VAPT assessments at the hardware and
infrastructure levels.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and manage the lifecycle of server hardware in a
dynamic IT environment.
• Familiarity with database infrastructure, collaborating with DBAs to ensure hardware supports
optimal database performance.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Job Description:
As a Manager & Above in the Hardware Team (DC/DR), the System Administrator will be responsible
for managing physical hardware infrastructure (Linux and Windows servers) and ensuring the smooth
operation of data-centre hardware. This includes the installation, maintenance, and optimization of
server hardware, as well as collaborating with Database Administrators (DBAs) and software vendors
to ensure optimal hardware support for applications and databases. The role also includes conducting
security audits and VAPT assessments to ensure that both hardware and software environments
meet security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Server Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical servers, network
devices, and data-center hardware. Ensure the efficient operation of hardware infrastructure,
including managing the lifecycle of physical assets.
• Data-center Operations: Manage the overall operation of the data-center hardware, including
power, cooling, and physical security. Oversee the setup and maintenance of racks, wiring,
and hardware components.
• Virtualization Support: Administer and optimize VMware environments, ensuring that
physical hardware resources (CPU, RAM, storage) are efficiently allocated for virtual machines
and databases.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage server hardware lifecycle, including the re-commissioning
and de-commissioning of servers. Ensure that systems are decommissioned securely and that
hardware is disposed of according to industry practise / company policies.
• Hardware Performance Optimization: Regularly monitor and optimize server performance,
addressing hardware-level bottlenecks and failures to ensure continuous uptime and
reliability.
• Security Audits & VAPT: Perform security audits on hardware infrastructure and coordinate
for VAPT to identify and mitigate physical and network vulnerabilities.
• Database Infrastructure Support: Collaborate with DBAs to optimize hardware for database
workloads and ensure the infrastructure supports the databases' high performance and
availability needs.
• Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Work closely with hardware vendors to ensure timely
upgrades, warranty management, and hardware procurement. Collaborate with software
vendors for smooth software-hardware integration.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Oversee hardware-related backup and disaster recovery
systems, ensuring critical data is protected and can be quickly restored in the event of a failure.
Others: The Cadre fitment will be done based on performance of the candidate in selection process, prior experience and the decision of the Company will be final and binding.
Pay & Perquisites : Negotiable based on Current CTC + Attractive incentives.
PROBATION : 1 year
