PURPOSE OF ROLE:

About the Role:

• The Manager - Demand and Supply Planning is working in a company s supply chain to utilize analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands. They develop an effective forecast model by paying attention to demand patterns.
• The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders. We have to manage a team of 5 planners.

Job Responsibilities :

• Gathering data from internal and external sources that may impact demand, such as sales, stock, and promotions.
• Analyzing data to identify patterns and trends and to model future demand.
• Developing demand forecasts for multiple time horizons and levels of aggregation.
• Providing input to supply planning to develop inventory strategies for new products, existing items, and product phase-outs.
• Refining systems and methods to improve forecasts and better anticipate customer needs.
• Interacting with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Provide input to the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Manage warehousewise supply planners for 4 warehouses catering to 150 service branch locations and 22 product branch locations.
• Tracking the company s current inventory.
• Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking.
• Collaborating with procurement and logistics department team members,
• Generate and publish monthly MIS for Indents Vs Supply and inventory movement.
• Select and implement forecasting software with help of the companys IT team.
