Operations Manager

Role & responsibilities

The primary role of this position is to provide back-office operations processing to Wealth Management Services of clients. The position requires the use of multiple databases along with using the systems of third-party supported systems. There are multiple functions that will be managed to support different units in the Wealth Solution Ops Sourcing Department including Securities Processing, Cashiering and Treasury.

The following inventory is sample of functions to be overseen/practiced.

• Custodial Position Reconciliation download and reconcile using the application reports to produce Client Custodial Position Reconciliation.
• Income Pre-Balancing
• Importing Custodial Files and Pre Balancing Expected Income to be received. (Daily)
• Resolution and Reporting – review breaks, possible solutions and report final breaks (Daily)
• Income Processing
• Importing Custodial Files and Clear Income that has been suspended per the application process. Income Items not cleared will be referred to US Associates for resolution. (Daily)
• Responsible for SSAE18 and Other Audit involvement for document gathering and control over the documents. (Daily)
• Amortization Review – Please see attached process. (Daily)
• General Operations:
• Ensure Adherence to established duties and controls, ensuring accuracy of all transaction and system processing.
• Develop and cross train staff to ensure continuity.
• Develop and maintain forms, procedures and processes related to operations outsourcing.
• Effectively prioritize work volume and resolve routine and complex problems.
• Ability to work in multiple client databases and meet deadlines to achieve SLA.
• Willingness to cross-train and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Supervision

• Be able to monitor the direct quality of the processing for the people in the Kolkata office
• Be able to effectively maintain processing workflow and alert management of any issues that arise
• Be supportive and involved in process changes and decision-making process about the strategic future of the overall group.
• Being able to process work but also lead staff in adopting and adhering to established protocols.

• Knowledge of trust accounting or accounting principles, preferably 2+ years
• Knowledge of securities processing, corporate actions, income collection, accounting, reconciliation, and banking a must.
• Proficient using MS Office products.
• Knowledge of Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, Mutual Funds, 3rd Party Custodian, Crest, EuroClear helpful
• Previous supervision experience
