Job Description

The Senior Manager: Higher Education will lead the development and execution of higher education programs in partnership with state governments. The role involves independently managing government partnerships, client reporting & ensuring curriculum alignment with the NSQF framework and state priorities, and tracking the progress of the education program. This position requires prior experience in leading higher education initiatives with state governments. Individuals without such experience should not apply.

Responsibilities

Client Reporting & Communication:

Develop and deliver detailed, data-driven reports to clients, showcasing project progress, impact, and strategic outcomes.
Ensure client satisfaction through regular updates, addressing concerns, and aligning deliverables with client expectations.
Act as the primary point of contact for client interactions, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.

Government Partnership & Engagement:

Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with state government bodies to support and enhance higher education initiatives.
Ensure that the project aligns with state government priorities, policies, and educational reforms, complying with relevant regulations.
Represent the organization in meetings with state policymakers, advocating for the integration of the IBM SkillsBuild initiative into state education frameworks.

Learning Plans & Curriculum Development:

Design and implement learning plans aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and state government priorities for higher education.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that curriculum content is current, industry-relevant, and meets governmental standards.
Continuously improve and update the curriculum to reflect emerging trends in technology and education.

Team Progress Mapping & Reporting:

Track and report the progress of the education programs, ensuring that deliverables and milestones are met on time.
Provide comprehensive reports on team performance and program outcomes to internal stakeholders.
Address any challenges that may affect program implementation and progress.

Strategy Development & Implementation:

Identify opportunities for expanding the higher education program based on feedback from government partners and clients.
Develop strategies to ensure the successful implementation and scalability of higher education initiatives.
Lead initiatives to enhance the overall impact and sustainability of the program.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in leading higher education programs in collaboration with state governments.
Proven expertise in government relations, curriculum development, and program implementation.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
Experience in designing educational programs and aligning them with national standards (e.g., NSQF).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Familiarity with public-private partnerships, CSR, and large-scale education or skilling initiatives is a plus.
