Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial

a. Knowledge of the scope and purposes of laws and regulations governing insurance companies, and of the practices and operations of insurance companies.

b. Analyze and understand insurable risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; interact with
operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures, and appropriate
insurance coverage.

c. Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial reports, including the analysis of annual insurance
premiums, financial performance of insurance programs, and determination of billing rates and premium allocations.

d. Thorough knowledge in all insurance and risk mitigation aspects about large corporates.

e. Ensure that losses are reported in time, surveyed by competent authority, lodged for optimum value and settled in time.

2. Operational

a. Exposure to Global Reinsurance matter and to place the policy of large project in international reinsurance market.

b. Review and Identification of all Risk for Power Plants & Coal Mines.

c. Finalization of all Risk Policies with Policy excess/deduction and other terms and condition as per Best practices followed in Industry.

d. Claim Management

i. Reporting of all Claims to Insurance Company as per Policy.

ii. Coordination for survey of IAR & Business interaction for breakdown of Machines.

iii. Assist in finalization of Incidence report for Major IAR/EAR Claim.

iv. Submission of various documents to surveyor after Validation/Verification and submission of Claim bills.

e. Transit Claim Management

i. Claim Intimation to concerned Insurer.

ii. Submission of Monetary claim letter and other documents as per Policy.

iii. Claim Bill

f. Renewal of Policies in time at better rates.

g. Assist with compilation and development of data for annual renewal of corporate property and casualty insurance program, including management of brokers, approval of submissions, and negotiation of terms and premiums.

3. Customer

  1. Maintain knowledge of trends in construction insurance industry, including thorough working knowledge of insurance products, coverage and pricing.
  2. Manage day-to-day interaction between all project participants, insurers related to risk management and insurance issues.
  3. Manage all aspects of contract review as relates to insurance and including coordination of contract review with legal.
  4. Work with client/owner insurance representatives to ensure proper placement and coordination of any project specific insurance policies.
  5. Ability to meet, correspond and cooperate with insurance company officials to resolve complex problems.

4. People

  1. Responsible for fostering team culture in line with the organizational values and maintain a team spirit within groups.
  2. Nurture talent and foster meritocracy to achieve high levels of performance, productivity and employee engagement.

Note-

Experience in Power/ Infrastructure sector is desirable.
