Job Title: Sr.Flow Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

The Flow Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted and efficient flow of hydrocarbons through pipelines and processing systems. This role involves analyzing and solving flow-related challenges, optimizing pipeline design, and implementing strategies to prevent and manage issues like blockages, hydrate formation, and wax deposition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Flow Assurance Analysis and Modeling:
• Conduct simulations and modeling to predict fluid behavior and optimize flow in pipelines and processing systems.
• Analyze complex flow assurance issues such as hydrate formation, wax deposition, and pipeline corrosion.
• Develop and interpret flow assurance models to guide decision-making.
2. Pipeline Design and Optimization:
• Design and recommend improvements to pipeline systems to enhance flow efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Optimize pipeline operating conditions to prevent blockages and maintain optimal performance.
• Evaluate and propose modifications based on operational data and simulation results.
3. Hydrate and Wax Management:
• Develop and implement strategies for managing and mitigating hydrate formation and wax deposition.
• Recommend and design chemical treatments and thermal management techniques to address flow assurance challenges.
• Monitor and adjust strategies based on field data and changing conditions.
4. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
• Investigate and resolve flow assurance-related issues such as pipeline blockages and flow disruptions.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address immediate and potential flow assurance problems.
• Provide technical support and guidance during operational incidents and emergencies.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, chemical, and reservoir engineers, to address flow assurance challenges.
• Coordinate with operations teams to implement and monitor flow assurance solutions in the field.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical information to stakeholders and management.
6. Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure that all flow assurance activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to flow assurance processes, designs, and compliance.
7. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to flow assurance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in flow assurance practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience: 5-9 years of experience in flow assurance, pipeline engineering, or a related field. Experience with simulation software and flow assurance tools is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in flow assurance modeling and simulation software (e.g., OLGA, Aspen HYSYS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pipeline design, hydrate management, and wax deposition control.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and complex environments.

Work Conditions:

• Location: Typically based in an office setting, with occasional field visits to operational sites.
• Travel: May require travel to project sites and client locations.
• Hours: Standard working hours with potential for extended hours or on-call duties during critical situations.
