Release Manager

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Release Manager with a strong background in DevOps practices and Mobile Application Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless delivery and deployment of our mobile applications, working closely with development, QA, and operations teams. Your expertise in managing releases, implementing automation, and streamlining CI/CD pipelines will be essential for the successful delivery of our mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire release lifecycle of mobile applications, ensuring smooth and timely releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases and updates across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, etc.).
• Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are set up and optimized for mobile app releases.
• Implement DevOps practices to automate deployment, monitor environments, and improve release efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product, and operations) to ensure that release requirements and timelines are met.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mobile app releases and work with developers to resolve production-level issues.
• Ensure release documentation, change logs, and communication plans are maintained for each release.
• Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for process improvement and to implement best practices for future releases.
• Monitor mobile app performance post-release and ensure that releases do not disrupt users' experience.
• Maintain release schedules and provide stakeholders with regular updates regarding the release progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role, preferably with a focus on mobile applications.
• Strong experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring).
• Hands-on experience with mobile application development, deployment, and troubleshooting for both iOS and Android platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile app release processes, including submission to app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store).
• Strong understanding of mobile app versioning, release management, and rollback strategies.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple releases simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
• Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, GitLab, or GitHub for version control and collaboration.
