Role & responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Indian engineering teams
• Drive a culture of high performance and innovation, enhancing and growing our India operation as an engineering centre of excellence
• Mentor and develop engineering managers and team leads, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
• Oversee resource planning, recruitment, and retention strategies to build and maintain a world-class engineering organization.
• Collaborate with global leadership to define technical roadmaps and align engineering goals with business objectives.
• Drive the adoption of practices in agile methodologies, software development, and project management that best fit the teams you oversee.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products, features, and maintenance work, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, robust, and efficient software solutions.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in technologies, tools, and processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the company's competitive edge.
• Work closely with product management, sales, customer support, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with market needs.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between global teams to drive unified product development.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve team performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and regulatory standards across all engineering activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 10 years in software engineering, with experience in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software products for the web.
• Deep understanding of software engineering, security and performance principles, architecture, and design patterns.
• Deep understanding of leveraging Azure and AWS platforms
• Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate engineering teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Self-driven with a passion for technology and innovation.
