Manager/AVP - Risk Management (7-12 yrs)

Job Overview:

We are looking for the ideal candidate with background in Risk, Compliance, or Finance, with experience in project management, business management, or working in a COO office.

Collaborate closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of India to support comprehensive risk management initiatives, including but not limited to:

Leading risk-related projects and bank-wide tasks within the RISK India teams.

- Managing risk dashboards, regulatory reporting, and both group and regional reporting.

- Coordinating risk-related matters for the GIFT City branch.

- Assisting the CRO India with team management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regulatory Coordination

- Manage regulatory and audit-related subjects in collaboration with RISK India Branch teams. This involves handling regulatory reporting and supporting the team during audits and inspections (RBI/Internal/External) to gather necessary information and respond to queries.

- Participate in gap analysis exercises with RISK teams.

- Risk Analysis and Coverage Support

- Assist the CRO in preparing and analyzing country-wide risk dashboards and presentations.

- Ensure comprehensive risk coverage across all areas under the CRO's supervision.

- Project Management

- Facilitate and manage cross-functional projects for RISK India Branches and undertake additional projects as assigned by the CRO India.

- Define project objectives, scope, and timelines.

- Identify and engage project stakeholders.

- Efficiently drive project activities, from on-site analysis to coordinating contributors.

- GIFT City Risk Coordination

- Work with various risk streams within the India and APAC regions and with GIFT City management to ensure comprehensive risk coverage for the GIFT City branch.

- Governance Support

- Support the CRO India and collaborate with RISK India Branch teams on governance matters, including:

- Updating local policies and procedures.

- Organizing relevant risk committees.

- Coordinating with RISK India and APAC teams for input in regular committees and forums.

- Assist the CRO India in managing team activities and budgeting.

- Technical and Behavioral Competencies

Knowledge:

- Comprehensive understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) activities.

- Good grasp of risk management (credit, market, and/or operational risk).

- Skills:

- Proficiency in spoken and written English.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination abilities.

- Experience in project management with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
