Lead Analyst - Fixed Income Research - Oil & Gas Sector (3-7 yrs)

We are hiring for SRA/Lead Analyst- Fixed income for a client in Pune. We are looking for research analyst experienced in fixed income product. The incumbent will be responsible to:

- Carry out fundamental credit analysis of high yield (HY) or Investment Grade (IG) companies

- Prepare/ update credit models including peer analysis, relative value analysis and calculations of key credit quality determinants

- Preparing thematic presentations and industry decks, such as those highlighting key sector trends, emerging risks, or potential turnaround candidates

- Coming up with trade ideas

- Identify bonds and communicate the buy/sell/hold investment idea to the client

- Working on M&A and refinancing deals

- Regular surveillance of assigned portfolio by proactively tracking the company events (including quarterly earnings), peer group and other industry information sources

- Support the client with any other ad-hoc research requests

- Engage with client teams proactively and suggest new ideas to enhance client engagement

Candidate Profile:

- Background in conducting credit analysis of corporates. Exposure to Utility, Healthcare or Chemical sector will be an added advantage

- Strong knowledge of fundamental credit analysis with an ability to identify bonds and recommend buy/sell/hold ideas

- Good understanding of covenant analysis, capital structure analysis and recovery analysis

- Independent and decisive mindset

- Critical thinking skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Good awareness of global financial and macroeconomic trends

Essential Qualifications:

- MBA/CA/US CFA with more than 5 years of experience in credit research

- Experience of having covered the oil and gas sector (investment grade or HY). Candidates who have exposure to the HY space and have covered the oil and gas sector among other industries can also be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA/CA and CFA Level 2 cleared

- Exposure to the HY oil and gas space

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred
