Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and manage our business loan sales efforts within Mumbai. This role is responsible for driving growth in the regional business loan portfolio, managing a high-performing sales team, and building relationships with key clients to meet both short-term and long-term sales objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of business loan products, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to grow and manage a sales territory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead a team of Business Loan Sales Executives to achieve regional sales targets. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to maximize performance and meet goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region by prospecting, networking, and building relationships with small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs), startups, and other potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Act as a trusted advisor to understand their financial needs and offer tailored business loan solutions.
  • Sales Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for sales team members. Ensure the team is up-to-date on the latest product offerings, lending criteria, and industry regulations.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and track regional sales performance against targets. Report on progress, market conditions, and any challenges to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (e.g., underwriting, credit, marketing, customer service) to ensure smooth loan application and approval processes, as well as exceptional customer service throughout the lending journey.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business lending or financial services, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of business loan product
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and close deals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, market trends, and client needs to develop customized lending solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong network of business relationships within the region is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

  • Travel within the assigned region may be required.
