Regional Collection Manager

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Process Development

• Oversee the daily operations of collections and recovery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Implement early warning systems for delinquent accounts and establish proactive measures to prevent defaults.
• Manage high-value delinquent accounts, including settlements, repossessions, and escalations.
• Develop and implement robust collection and recovery strategies tailored to the vehicle finance segment in TN, AP, TS & Karnataka
• Identify key risk areas, customer segments, and trends to enhance collection efficiency and recovery rates.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for collection and recovery activities, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Repossession Operations

• Ensure timely tracking of seized vehicles and maintenance of repossession MIS
• Ensure for checking updation in the system and storage of all yard agreements in compliance with company approval policy
• Ensure checking and maintenance of repossessed asset details as received from branches and send information to the police station
• Meet all Statutory Compliance and RBI guidelines regarding repossession of vehicles financed by NBFCs
• Ensure uniform practices in servicing various branches and providing support in procedure and security in repossession assignments

Legal Recovery

• Meet all legal recovery process requirements as mandated by RBI and other legal authorities
• Oversee management of all live and shortfall cases, issuing recall notice to the customer
• Provide support to cluster managers and state recovery heads in resolving complaints/allegations
• Monitoring legal expenses, and preparation of MIS reports for the management
• Formulation of legal procedure and policy manual and ensure that there is a standard implementation of the same across all branches and locations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 20+ years of experience in collections, repossessions legal and recovery within the NBFC, used commercial vehicle finance sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in collections and recovery operations, particularly in the vehicle finance sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for NBFCs.
