Assistant Manager - Legal & Compliance

"Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends, and changes in laws affecting the organization's operations. Conduct regulatory assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies for remediation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement compliance controls and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. Policy Development and Implementation: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are updated to reflect changes in regulations and industry standards. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters to promote a culture of ethical conduct and compliance awareness. Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Perform compliance monitoring activities, including conducting reviews, audits, and testing of key controls. Analyze compliance data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare compliance reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities as required. Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments to evaluate compliance risks and prioritize areas for focus and resource allocation. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize compliance risks and exposure. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend enhancements as needed. Regulatory Investigations and Remediation: Assist in conducting internal investigations into compliance breaches, allegations of misconduct, or regulatory violations. Collaborate with legal counsel and external advisors to address compliance issues, respond to inquiries, and manage regulatory investigations. Support remediation efforts by implementing corrective actions, disciplinary measures, and process improvements to prevent recurrence."
