Senior Engineer - Electrical Design (DC)

Role & responsibilities

1. Preparation of all Primary Engineering Deliverables. Experience in handling complete Engineering deliverables for AIS /GIS projects, Exposure to International experience Standards IEC, IEEE.

2. Substation layouts and section drawings preparation (2D, 3D) for budgetary offers / tenders / projects based on customer specification.

3. HV/MV/LV Cable Engineering including sizing, installation details and calculations.

4. Prepare, review, and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement.

5. Responsible for all design calculations related to Primary Engineering (AIS /GIS).

6. Grounding system design, drawings, and Bill of Materials.

7. Lightning protection system design, drawings, and BOM.

8. Lighting system design and BOM.

9. Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as GIS, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc.

10. Providing optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid).

11. Use creativity wherever appropriate to provide best solutions for the given situation within the framework of tender continuously develop standard templates and databases for tender engineering.

12. Vendor Offer Evaluations. FAT / SAT of primary equipment, system as and when needed.

13. Broad understanding of Protection and Control (PC), SCADA, Telecom, Tele protection, as well as substation design.

14. Knowledge and exposure on protection functions for electrical power transmission lines, power transformers

15. Designing protection and control schemes for series compensated lines

16. Knowledge on analysis of fault records and fault annunciations from protection relays, substation control and protection systems and SCADA

Desired Profile:

1. Should have hands on experience in solar projects.

2. Should have hands on experience in Substation design.

3. Should have hands on experience in Switch yard design.

Preferred candidate profile : Any B.Tech or BE graduate with min 5 yrs of exp in designing & engineering electrical (DC) side of designing in ground mount and Rooftop solar projects
