Job Summary:

- The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a senior executive responsible for leading an organization's digital transformation and ensuring the strategic use of digital technologies to enhance business performance.

- The roles and responsibilities of the CTO are broad and varied, spanning across technology, strategy, operations, and people management.

- As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our technology strategy, ensuring our IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI solutions, and software development initiatives support our business goals, technology leadership and operations management, driving profitability for the business.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

- The Head of Digital Transformation will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive digital transformation strategies. This role requires a strong leader with a rich background in software development and infrastructure management to drive digital innovation, enhance customer experience, and improve operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the organization's vision and business objectives.

- Identify opportunities for leveraging digital tools to improve business processes, enhance customer experience, and drive revenue growth.

2. Digital Strategy Development:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and create tailored digital solutions.

- Assess current digital capabilities and define a roadmap for transformation.

3. Software Development Management:

- Oversee the in-house software development team, ensuring alignment with digital strategies and adherence to best practices in software engineering.

- Foster an agile development environment that promotes continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

4. Infrastructure Management:

- Lead the design and deployment of robust IT infrastructure to support digital initiatives and ensure secure and scalable operations.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

5. Change Management:

- Champion digital culture and transformation efforts across the organization, including employee training and development.

- Collaborate with HR to drive change management initiatives that facilitate digital adoption across all levels of the organization.

6. Performance Measurement:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on progress and performance.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to foster collaboration and support for digital initiatives.

- Serve as a digital transformation ambassador, promoting the value of digital initiatives both internally and externally.

8. Budget Management:

- Manage and allocate budgetary resources effectively to meet the needs of digital transformation projects and initiatives.

Desired Profile:

- Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- MBA or business-related degree is a plus.

- Proven experience (typically 15+ years) in technology leadership roles, preferably within the publishing industry or related sectors.

- Demonstrated success in implementing technology strategies that drive innovation and operational excellence.

- Expertise in software development methodologies, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and data management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and a track record of effective decision making.

- Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations related to data privacy and security.
