Job Title: Associate - Investment Banking
Location: Bengaluru, India
Position Overview:
As an Associate in our Investment Banking division, you will play a key role in executing transactions and providing high-level support to senior bankers. You will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, building financial models, preparing pitch books, conducting due diligence, and assisting with client presentations. You will also work closely with clients, manage project timelines, and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, comparable company analysis and precedent transactions. Perform detailed financial analysis to support investment recommendations and strategies.
- Transaction Execution: Assist in executing live transactions across the sectors, including M&A and equity fund raise. Prepare collaterals for transaction launch, prepare and follow-up for potential investors data request, support in due diligence and also support documentation (term sheets, transaction documents etc.).
- Market Research & Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive industry and company research, including identifying potential clients, acquisition targets, comparable companies, potential investors and market trends. Assist in business due diligence efforts by gathering and analyzing information to support decision-making.
- Client & Internal Presentations: Prepare high-quality pitch materials, presentation decks, and client deliverables. Participate in meetings and calls with clients and provide real-time updates on transaction progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or management consulting.
- Education: Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA (Finance)
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comps, precedent transactions). Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical & Research Skills: Ability to conduct deep market research, synthesize complex information, and draw actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and senior executives.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and presentation materials.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment
