We are looking for distributed systems experts who can help us perfect the architecture behind our key design principles: scalability, reliability, programmability and resiliency. Our system features a powerful dispatch engine that connects emergency service providers with patients in real-time.

Get to know the role :

We are looking for an experienced coder with expertise in deep distributed systems and event-driven systems, and have experience working with streaming platforms. They should have a strong focus on scalability and reliability, and a deep understanding of collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and efficient backend system

- Write high quality, well documented and maintainable code.

- Seek and incorporate feedback from code and design reviews to improve code quality and design effectiveness.

- Translate business or technical requirements into effective design documents such as ERDs and RFCs to address clearly defined problems.

- Develops tests to verify code functionality and stability; establishes monitoring and alerting systems to ensure code reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Desired skill set :

- At least 3+ years of experience in backend development.

- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following NodeJS, Java, or Go.

- Solid understanding of distributed and event driven systems.

- Production level experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases.

- Strong emphasis on reliability and observability.

- Experience of cloud native architecture specification.
