Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance Director / VP Finance to oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis. This leadership role involves driving the company's financial strategy, managing risks, and supporting both international and domestic operations. The position offers the opportunity to lead key initiatives in an early-stage fintech environment, reporting directly to the country manager and collaborating closely with teams in the US and India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, set financial targets, and develop forecasts while monitoring performance and identifying optimization opportunities.

- Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in creating financial strategies and long-term plans, conduct financial modeling, and scenario analysis for business initiatives.

- Treasury and Cash Management: Oversee cash flow and liquidity, ensuring operational stability, and manage relationships with financial institutions for financing and debt management.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, tax regulations, and legal compliance, implementing internal controls to mitigate risks.

- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and providing training resources to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in senior financial management roles, preferably as a Finance Controller

- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance (including FEMA, SEBI, international regulations).

- Experience in managing both India operations and supporting global teams, especially US-based operations.

- Strong experience in fintech operations, investor relations, audit, and taxation.

- Leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams and developing talent.

- Proficiency in preparing board/investor presentations and conducting due diligence.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in early-stage fintech companies.

- Knowledge of cross-border money transfers and international entity compliance.

- Background in audit, taxation, and legal compliance.
