Manager/Sr. Manager - Strategic Sourcing

1. Capex Procurement
Source and negotiate for solar module and cell manufacturing equipment and testing systems.
Procure essential utility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, DG sets, and power distribution.
Oversee procurement for factory construction, including civil, mechanical, and electrical components.
2. Direct Procurement for Solar Modules and Solar Cells
Manage to source of solar cells, solar modules & glass, EVA, back sheet, aluminium frames, and other raw materials critical to module and cell production.
Build robust domestic and international supplier networks to ensure cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
3. Indirect Procurement
Handle procurement for non-core areas such as MRO, facility management, logistics, and office supplies.
4. Contract Management
Draft, negotiate, and manage high-value contracts with both domestic and global vendors.
Ensure clear terms, quality specifications, and delivery timelines are maintained.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to manage disputes, renegotiate terms, or amend contracts.
5. Quality Assurance in Procurement
Define and implement supplier quality standards aligned with ISO 9001 and other certifications.
Conduct regular supplier audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
Implement corrective action plans for non-compliance or quality issues.
6. Vendor Development and Relationship Management
Identify and onboard capable suppliers for solar manufacturing and infrastructure projects.
Build strategic supplier relationships to foster innovation and collaboration.
Perform periodic evaluations based on quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
7. Risk Management & Compliance
Develop risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or cost fluctuations.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
8. Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
Monitor domestic and global trends for equipment, raw materials, and services in the solar sector.
Adopt best practices from industry leaders to drive operational excellence and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in solar, electronics, or allied industries.
Expertise in Capex procurement, direct sourcing of solar components, and contract management.
Proven experience in vendor development, quality management, and supplier negotiations.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of solar manufacturing processes and equipment.
Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP-MM, advanced Excel, and G-Suite tools.
Competency in contract drafting, negotiation, and performance management.
Soft Skills:
Leadership and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
