Senior Purchase Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, hands-on experience with SAP, and excellent negotiation skills to manage and optimize our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management:

• Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to meet production needs.
• Source, evaluate, and procure raw materials, tools, and services required for sheet metal manufacturing.

Supplier Development:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

SAP System Utilization:

• Utilize SAP software for purchase order creation, vendor management, and inventory tracking.
• Generate and analyze reports to monitor procurement performance and optimize processes.

Cost Control:

• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and efficient inventory management.
• Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and price trends.

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all purchased materials meet technical specifications and industry standards.
• Address quality issues promptly with suppliers to prevent production disruptions.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to support production schedules.
• Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce lead times.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production, design, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier performance data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the sheet metal manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in SAP and other ERP tools.
• In-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
