Job Description -Senior Manager Accounts
Location: Mumbai
Experience Required: Minimum 7 years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is mandatory; Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred

Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Manager - Accounts to oversee and manage accounting operations for two group entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting functions, including finalization of accounts, tax compliance, vendor payments, reconciliations, and statutory filings in consultation/coordination with the C.A. This is an individual contributor role, requiring a proactive professional who can independently handle all accounting activities with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain and manage Books of Accounts for both group entities in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Generate & book bills (vendor invoices, sales invoices, and other financial documents) in the system.
  • Maintain proper records of receivables and payables for efficient cash flow management.

2. Finalization of Accounts & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and finalize financial statements in consultation with the CA and auditors.
  • Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare MIS reports for management, including financial summaries, cash flow reports, and budget analysis.

3. Taxation & Compliance

  • Direct & Indirect Taxation: Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws.
  • Assist the CA in corporate tax filings, audits, and assessments.
  • Independently file GST returns, TDS returns, and handle GST reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely payments of statutory dues like GST, TDS, and Professional Tax.
  • Stay updated on taxation laws and suggest tax planning measures to optimize liabilities.

4. Accounts Reconciliation & Audits

  • Perform regular bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Liaise with statutory and internal auditors, ensuring smooth audits and compliance.
  • Ensure all reconciliations (GST, TDS, vendor, and customer accounts) are completed before financial closures.

5. Vendor Payments & Expense Management

  • Process vendor invoices, verify documents, and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain a proper tracking system for vendor contracts, advances, and outstanding payments.
  • Ensure all payments align with budget allocations and business requirements.

6. Other Finance & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Handle payroll processing and related tax deductions (TDS, PF, etc.).
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for operational requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and controls.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Expertise in GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other regulatory compliances
  • Experience in finalization of accounts and tax filings
  • Proficiency in Tally and accounting software
  • Ability to handle financial reconciliations and audits
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
