Quantity Surveyor

Roles and Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor (QS):

1. Cost Management:

Estimate and control project costs to ensure they stay within budget.

Find ways to save costs without sacrificing quality.

2. Contract Administration:

Prepare and evaluate contracts, ensuring all terms are met.

Manage changes to contracts and oversee payments.

3. Financial Management:

Create project budgets and forecasts.

Certify payments and finalize financial accounts.

4. Procurement and Quality Assurance:

Source materials and manage subcontractors.

Monitor quality and address any construction defects.

5. Risk Management and Dispute Resolution:

Identify risks and develop strategies to manage them.

Assist in resolving disputes related to costs or project delays

6. Project Coordination and Reporting:

Coordinate with teams and report on project progress.

Maintain records and ensure compliance with regulations.

7.Client Relations and Continuous Improvement:

Build relationships with clients and address their concerns.

Seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Preferred Candidate Profile

1. Autocad Knowledge is must.

2. Excel knowledge.

3. Able to work in close collaboration with project managers and architects
