The Automation Engineer reports to the Director of Tools and Automation in the Service Delivery organization and will be involved in a wide range of challenging IT projects to help drive value using automation. The Automation Engineer will be involved with new automation capabilities to support our strategic directions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop automated solutions such as software installation, monitoring, integration, health checks, problem resolution
• Identify, evaluate, and automate processes currently performed manually
• Work with product owners designing and implementing integrations to other key systems within the automation platforms
• Determine technical requirements of projects to ensure that client specifications are met
• Provide creative thinking to solve complex problems
• Work closely with solution architects and technical leads to develop new and existing solutions
• Partner with functional and infrastructure teams in the design and implementation of solutions
• Develop test plans, documentation, and quality assurance during the execution of project work
• Develop proof-of-concepts for projects, and when needed, utilize programming and scripting techniques for complex situations
• Provide technical support for the automation platforms
• Participate in Business requirement and Technical review sessions.
• Bachelor s degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience installing, configuring and supporting RedHat with Ansible.
• 3+ years of solid Linux Administration experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience using Ansible
• Must have experience with Go, Python, and Bash scripting
• Experience with Windows system administration and scripting a plus
• Experience supporting applications running on Docker and Kubernetes a plus.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics a plus.
• Demonstrable experience interacting and integrating with REST APIs
• Architected/Installed Ansible Tower in enterprise environment (preferably with cloud)
• RHCSA and RHCE certification is preferred.
• Azure DevOps experience preferred
