Required Skills :

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer with a robust background in Informatica Platform Engineering and Administration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in information technology, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of Informatica.

Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark is essential. This role will involve maintaining and optimizing the platform to ensure high performance and reliability, as well as developing automation solutions to streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Informatica Administration : Manage the installation, configuration, and administration of Informatica environments, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- System Upgrades : Plan and execute Informatica upgrades, including version migrations and patch applications.

- Performance Management : Monitor, analyze, and optimize platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

- Automation : Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Big Data Integration : Work with Hadoop and Spark to manage and integrate large data sets within the Informatica environment.

- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues related to Informatica infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

- Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, data engineers, and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business needs.

- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for all processes, configurations, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Experience: 6+ years of experience in information technology. 4+ years of dedicated experience in Informatica Platform Engineering/Administration.

Technical Expertise :

- Proficient in the installation, configuration, and administration of Informatica.

- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for Informatica.

- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Shell for automation tasks.

- Familiarity with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems and their integration with Informatica.

Problem-Solving Skills :

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

- Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements.

Communication Skills :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Background :
