Product Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for iron and steel products.
• Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to provide timely and competitive quotations.
• Identify material requirements, manufacturing processes, and labor costs to ensure accurate pricing.
• Provide technical support during the design phase to ensure products meet customer specifications and within cost and time constraints.
• Oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured according to the estimated specifications, budget, and timeline for customer requirements.
• Resolve any technical or production issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Track progress and performance, adjusting timelines and resources as needed to meet project objectives.
• Monitor project costs, identifying areas for cost-saving and process improvements.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project budgets and schedules.
• Ensure the timely delivery of finished products to clients while managing potential delays or setbacks.
• Address any post-delivery issues, including product modifications, repairs, or technical support.
• Identify areas for improvement in the design, estimation, production, and delivery processes.
• Suggest improvements based on new technologies, industry trends, or customer feedback and ideas for Improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge product Engineering/Estimation & Execution in any Engineering Industry dealt with steel/iron processing (Machine shop /Steel Metal Function)
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for product design and drafting.(Understanding/Modification/Execution)
