Position Summary:

The Department of Computer Science at [University Name] is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join the faculty team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching or industry experience, or be pursuing an MTech/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field. This individual will contribute to the academic development of students, engage in research and scholarly activities, and participate in departmental initiatives aimed at advancing the field of computer science. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, mentor students, and collaborate on research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Curriculum Development:
  
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in various areas of computer science such as algorithms, data structures, programming languages, software engineering, artificial intelligence, databases, computer networks, or other specialized topics.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, assignments, and exams while fostering a positive learning environment for students.
• Develop and update course materials and content to ensure alignment with industry standards and emerging trends in computer science.
• Mentor and guide students through academic advising, project supervision, and research opportunities.
• Research & Scholarly Activity:
  
• Actively engage in research activities in computer science, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
• Pursue and publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Seek opportunities for research funding and collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners on innovative projects.
• Encourage student involvement in research and support their academic and professional growth.
• Departmental Service & Collaboration:
  
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the growth and improvement of the Computer Science Department.
• Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary projects and initiatives within the university.
• Support departmental outreach efforts and industry partnerships to foster academic and professional development for both faculty and students.
• Professional Development:
  
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer science and higher education by attending conferences, workshops, and participating in professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the departments mission of fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and critical thinking among students.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree (MTech) or Ph.D. (in-progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience or relevant industry experience in computer science.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or others, as well as knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with current trends in computer science, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented academic environment.
• A commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, and scholarly research.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in curriculum development and course design.
• Research publications in reputable journals or conferences.
• Experience with research funding applications and grant writing.
• Industry experience in software development or related fields.
