Manager/Senior Manager - Indirect Tax - Infrastructure (5-7 yrs)

An Infrastructure major backed by PE is seeking an experienced and qualified GST Professional to manage their Indirect tax compliance and strategy efforts. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GST regulations, implementing efficient tax strategies, and managing a team of tax professionals.

Position : Sr Manager - Indirect Taxation

Location : Mumbai

KRA :

- Support the Leader in end-to-end GST compliance for the organization, ensuring accurate and timely filing of returns.

- Monitor changes in GST laws, rules, and regulations and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.

- Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize the organization's GST position.

- Provide expert advice on business transactions and contracts to minimize GST liabilities.

- Develop and implement GST policies and procedures in alignment with statutory requirements and organizational objectives.

- Ensure consistent adherence to GST guidelines across the organization.

- Conduct regular internal audits to identify and rectify GST-related discrepancies.

- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure GST compliance in transactions.

- Conduct periodic reviews to verify the GST compliance of suppliers and partners.

- Provide legal advice on complex GST matters, working closely with legal teams to address compliance issues.

- Represent the organization during external GST audits and disputes.

- Participate in cross-functional projects and provide GST insights to support organizational goals.

- Prepare and present regular reports to management on GST compliance, risks, and opportunities.

- Communicate with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and tax authorities

Skills/Experience:

- CA or MBA (Finance) qualification with 5-7 years of progressive experience in GST compliance and tax planning.

- In-depth knowledge of GST laws, rules, and regulations.

- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and manage teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

- Demonstrated experience in handling GST audits and dispute resolution.

- Proficiency in using GST-related software and tools.

- Ability to adapt to changes in GST laws and effectively implement updates.
