SOX Compliance Lead - Renewable Energy (6-10 yrs)

Our client a leading Renewable Energy player is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SOX Implementation and Compliance Specialist to join our India Accounts and Tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SOX implementation, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

SOX Compliance Lead, Mumbai

Reporting To: Accounts & Tax Head

Experience: Education Qualification: 7 to 12 years CA/MBA (Finance)

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of SOX requirements within the India Accounts and Tax team.

- Develop, document, and maintain SOX compliance policies and procedures.

- Conduct risk assessments and identify key controls to mitigate risks.

- Perform regular testing of internal controls and ensure timely remediation of any deficiencies.

- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate SOX audits.

- Provide training and guidance to team members on SOX compliance and best practices.

- Monitor changes in SOX regulations and ensure the company remains compliant.

- Prepare and present SOX compliance reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

- 7 to 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in SOX implementation and compliance.

- Strong understanding of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
