Safety Officer

We are looking for a Safety Officer to ensure that all safety protocols, barricading, and protective measures are strictly followed at our site. The ideal candidate should have experience in cable laying projects and be proactive in enforcing site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure barricades, warning signs, and safety measures are in place at all work areas.
• Verify that all workers use safety kits (PPE) properly (helmets, gloves, vests, boots, etc.).
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify and address hazards.
• Enforce safety protocols for excavation, cable laying, and heavy equipment use.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate any accidents or near-miss incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and client requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and first aid readiness on-site.

Key Skills Required:

• Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of safety procedures in cable laying and excavation work
• Strong inspection, reporting, and compliance skills
• Ability to train workers and enforce safety measures
• Familiarity with safety documentation and audits
• Proactive approach to risk identification and accident prevention
