BMC Helix Migration Specialist (3-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Conduct a thorough assessment of our existing BMC Helix environment to identify potential bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

- Define the infrastructure and resource requirements for migrating BMC Helix to a container-based architecture, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Develop a comprehensive migration plan, including data mapping, application compatibility testing, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Deploy BMC Helix in a containerized environment, leveraging best practices for security, reliability, and maintainability.

- Migrate configuration settings, data, and workflows from the current production environment to the new containerized setup, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.

- Rigorously test the migrated environment to verify data integrity, functionality, and performance.

- Execute a smooth cutover process, ensuring a successful transition to the new BMC Helix environment.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 3-8 years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix products or other ITSM tools.

- In-depth understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Scripting skills (e.g, Python, PowerShell)
