As the candidate becomes more familiar with the data, training will be constantly available to increase knowledge of US indirect tax determination laws and rules. Addition to reviewing the data, candidate will also be responsible for returns, and payment voucher creation. Assist with indirect audit support. Role responsibilities

• Preparation of the monthly AP AR Tax Reports
  • Extract monthly AP AR Oracle activity and set-up AP AR reports to accommodate separate company analysis.
  • Update missing data fields through various methods.
  • Understand and review the integrity of the data extracted for control purposes.
• Manage the Tax Exemption Certificate Process.
  • Enter exemptions for review and activation.
  • Monitor for expiration and send out communications to collect updated exemptions.
• Review Tax Mailbox
  • Review and forward emails to the intended tax person, payroll person.
  • Delete non-relevant email.
  • Identify and escalate urgent messages.
• Help with pre-period AP review process as assigned.
  • Review invoices.
  • Create workbooks.
• Review Tax Liability (Limited)
  • Review Vendor (AP) and Client (AR) Invoices (City/States; Large Dollar Invoices; Pre-work).
  • Validate vendor invoice taxation. Create accruals as needed where the vendor did not charge tax where legally required.
  • Work with the tax team to clarify details to determine taxability.
  • Assist team to meet all filing deadlines.

• Prior U.S. indirect tax research and analysis in Sales Use Tax, preferable experience technology services/Healthcare industry.

• Technology focused.
  • Oracle - familiar with data mining and review
  • Excel - familiar with creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and indexing.
• Data-driven mindset.
• Time management.
• Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal.
