R&D

Experience & Qualifications:

• Function: R&D (Designing or R&D Division of Bearing)
• Experience: Min 5-10 yrs. (From Companies like NBC, SKF, ARB, Timken, NEI, Naachi, Schaeffler Etc.)
• Qualification: B-Tech Mechanical

Requirements

• Responsible to create & check new process design , PFD, QM plan etc.

• Analyzing RFQ’S for manufacturing feasibility & outsourcing opportunities

• Develop & Review process design for precision upcoming & existing products.

• Quality assurance during production and maintain record.

• Develop synergy among manufacturing, QA, Maintenance and supply chain

• Create a road map for new product development (timelines, vendor development, quality & aesthetic standards, manufacturability & cost) and lead the delivery efforts.

• Work with vendors to develop new tooling, parts, material composition to develop enhanced quality unique products

• Develop the open and apex budget plan for R&D in line with the targets/ growth objectives.

• Identify new engineering technologies, automation, materials to enhance product manufacturing & quality and work with Plant Head to enable adoption Plan and budget the resource requirement for R&D.

• Coordinate and align the efforts of different departments - Sales, Plant, Marketing, Quality, Procurement to capture requirements, share new product features and enable new product adoption.

• Develop alliances for R&D - for design, tool or component manufacturing and testing to enhance quality and quick + successful launch of new products.

Key Competencies:

• Knowledge of bearing manufacturing process i.e. grinding, superfinishing, assembly etc.
• Knowledge of NC programming, SPC, MSA, GD&T
• KNOWLEDGE OF TS16949
• Perform APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan
• Knowledge of materials viz. steel, alloy steels, bearings, plastic components, polyurethane etc., their properties and quality standards
• Working Knowledge and current best practices in processes involved at the company, that includes Machining, turning, milling, heat treatment, grinding, product assembly etc.
• Thorough knowledge of tolerances and fitments required for different functionalities.
• Knowledge of implementing both low cost and high-cost automation at various levels in production processes to bring in efficiencies, increase production and reduce wastage
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM solutions and design engineering, Solid work, Mesys, including simulations, etc. to envision and design products and ideas on the drawing board. The company is establishing its innovation center shortly in which competent engineers are being hired.
• Knowledge of current ISO/TS standards
• Having a planned and methodical approach to projects with proper documentation
• Person's knowledge on "how to produce" is as essential as designing new products.
• Knowledge of Test Rigs and Test Theroies.
