Roles & Responsibilities:

Evaluate and select electrical technologies suitable for onshore renewable projects, ensuring they are up to date with latest developments and lead efforts to innovate and maximise value through technology deployment. This includes appropriate assurance and supporting project approval processes.
Collaborate with engineering and the Technical Centre of Excellence to design and optimize electrical systems for onshore renewable projects. Partner with in-country project teams to provide specialist support and training to across the project life cycle to ensure best practices are embedded at the appropriate stage .
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the design and implementation of electrical components.
Conduct research to identify and propose innovative solutions for improving

electrical performance and energy yield.

Provide electrical technology expertise and direction in the development and implementation of appropriate technical policies, procedures and tools to support the delivery and operation of projects. This includes developing testing protocols for electrical systems to validate their performance and reliability.
Work closely with grid integration teams to ensure seamless connection and synchronization of onshore renewable projects with the electrical grid.
Lead CAPEX / OPEX estimating from an electrical technology perspective with support from in country project teams.
Support project procurement activities by defining electrical specification and ensuring electrical technology risks and opportunities are appropriately considered in supplier selection.
Support the mitigation of electrical technology risks for the portfolio and support project specific risk identification and mitigation as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry policies, standards, regulations, and best practices are met.
Capture, communicate and apply lessons learned and best practices to ensure value is maximized on individual projects.
Ensure SCADA system compliance with regulatory requirements and cybersecurity standards, implementing robust security measures for protection against potential threats.
Ensure creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, manuals, and training materials for electrical technology and SCADA systems, facilitating knowledge transfer and skill development within the organization.
Demonstr ate beliefs which promote a safe and environmentally responsible work culture and ensure HSSE risks are considered .
Develop the team capabilities and talent growth.
Incorporate best tools and methodologies for medium and high voltage substations components specification, dimensioning, and planning.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

A minimum of 10 years of medium and high voltage electrical technology development and application with 7 years direct experience managing electrical technology scope for renewable energy projects.
A strong belief in safety and environmental responsibility with the ability to develop a strong safety culture in teams and embed safety in technical activity.
A good understanding of the key value drivers of projects that relate to electrical technology selection and deployment and the ability to drive co mpetitiveness without a detrimental impact on safety or quality.
Stro ng project management expertise and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Strong leadership skills with ability to bring people together.
A mi nimum of a technical bachelors degree, masters preferred. Additional engineering, electrical or projects management qualifications a plus.
