Sr. Full Stack Developer

Key job responsibilities:-

1. Write code: Write code primarily in Python, Typescript and design scalable, fault tolerant and distributed applications. Produce code that is robust, efficient and maintainable

2. Design is Crucial: Build flexible systems choosing simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones. Lead architecture of large initiatives in scaling, security and availability. Continually challenge what exists and explore what should be changed to best meet evolving business and market needs.

3. Test, test, test: Our software engineers dont just write code, they also test. You will write unit tests, integration tests and regression tests and find ways to automate them.

4. Troubleshoot and fix operational problems: You will work with other engineers to troubleshoot operational problems and fix them. If you are so inclined, you will also automate troubleshooting procedures and write tools.

5. Influence product direction: You will propose your ideas for the future of the space to product management, and get to shape the roadmap.

6. Implement best practices in modern software engineering: design, implementation, testing, version control, documentation, deployment, monitoring and operations

7. Hire and mentor others: You will get to interview people for the team, and to mentor other engineers

8. Possess self-drive to dive deep and maintain progress even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (avoid \u201Canalysis paralysis\u201D)

Tech stack preferences:-

1. The backend services use a serverless architecture and primary are written in python.

2. Infrastructure code is written in typescript

3. Front end code is written in React using the Cloudscape library

4. Should be aware of agile method of working, daily standups, sprint planning, effort estimation, demos etc

5. Should we well versed with AWS tools and technology

6. Good communication skills

7. Should we be work with minimal guidance

8. Should be able to work with stakeholders to elicit/clarify requirements

Basic Qualifications:-

1. 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

2. Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3. Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

4. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and concepts

5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:-

1. 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

2. Experience with all phases of software lifecycle development, including design, implementation, deployment and maintenance

3. Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills

4. Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.

5. Experience taking a lead role developing complex software systems that have successfully been delivered to customers.
