QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented QA Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in API testing to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance with proven expertise in both functional and automation testing, specifically with API automation. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks from scratch to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Perform extensive functional testing, identifying and documenting defects, and validating fixes.
• Conduct API testing and automation, ensuring the services adhere to quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and define the scope of testing.
• Write and maintain test scripts and automated test cases using industry-standard tools and coding languages.
• Execute performance and load testing to assess system behavior under high demand.
• Monitor and alert on database performance, ensuring optimal operation.
• Implement CI/CD principles to streamline the deployment process and maintain high release quality.
• Ensure data privacy and integrity, implementing best practices for data backup and recovery strategies.
• Work with cloud databases and leverage platforms like Azure DevOps and AWS as part of the testing lifecycle.
• Provide insight and support into database monitoring solutions.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in QA Automation with API testing.
• Strong functional testing skills with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Extensive knowledge of API testing and at least 4 years of experience in API automation.
• Proficiency in creating test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience in coding languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for developing test scripts (minimum 4 years).
• Skilled in using automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and Cypress (minimum 4 years).
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and experience in their application (minimum 2 years).
• Knowledge of data backup and recovery practices, as well as data privacy regulations (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with database monitoring and alerting capabilities (minimum 2 years).
• Understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools (minimum 2 years).
• Experience working with cloud databases and familiarity with Azure DevOps and AWS (minimum 1 year).
