SAP SD Consultant - E2E Implementation (4-7 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Consultant to lead and support implementation and rollout projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the SAP SD module, strong functional expertise in end-to-end sales processes, and the ability to collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects. This role also requires experience in support projects and expertise in using tools like JIRA for incident management and tracking.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementation Projects :

- Conduct requirement gathering and analysis workshops with business stakeholders.

- Configure SAP SD module to meet business needs, including sales order processing, pricing, billing, shipping, and credit management.

- Design and implement solutions for end-to-end order-to-cash (OTC) processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

- Develop functional specifications for custom developments, reports, and enhancements.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Document functional and technical configurations, ensuring clear handover to support teams.

Rollout Projects :

- Assess global template applicability and adapt to local requirements for rollout projects.

- Configure localization features, including tax rules, pricing conditions, and compliance.

- Provide support for data migration activities, including mapping, validation, and cutover.

- Train end-users and key stakeholders on SAP SD functionalities.

- Provide hyper-care support during the post-go-live stabilization phase.

Support Projects :

- Provide ongoing support for SAP SD modules, addressing and resolving incidents and service requests.

- Monitor and manage JIRA tickets for issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution.

- Analyze recurring issues and propose long-term solutions or system improvements.

- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve production support issues within defined SLAs.

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare support documentation for knowledge transfer.

General Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FICO, MM and CRM) to ensure seamless integration.

- Analyze and troubleshoot SAP SD issues, ensuring timely resolution.

- Support ongoing process improvements and system upgrades.

- Provide thought leadership and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Must-Have Skills :

- SAP SD Configuration : Proficiency in configuring sales order types, item categories, pricing procedures, billing, shipping, and partner determination.

- Order-to-Cash (OTC) Process Expertise : End-to-end understanding of OTC processes, including integration points with FI and MM modules.

- Localization : Experience with tax configurations (e.g., VAT, GST), regional legal compliance, and localization requirements.

- Master Data : Deep understanding of customer and material master data setup.

- Data Migration : Hands-on experience in data migration tools like LSMW or BODS.

- Troubleshooting and Debugging : Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve system issues, including basic ABAP debugging knowledge.

- Documentation and Training : Ability to create comprehensive documentation and deliver end-user training.

- Rollout Expertise : Proven experience adapting global templates for regional rollouts.

- Support Expertise : Experience in managing support projects, including ticketing tools like JIRA for issue tracking and resolution.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- S/4HANA : Knowledge of SAP SD functionalities in an S/4HANA environment.

- EDI and IDocs : Experience in electronic data interchange (EDI) and IDoc processing for order and invoice automation.

- SAP Fiori : Familiarity with Fiori apps for SAP SD processes.

- Integration with CRM and eCommerce : Experience integrating SAP SD with third-party CRM or eCommerce platforms.

- Industry-Specific Solutions : Knowledge of industry-specific solutions (e.g., IS-Retail, IS-Auto).

- Agile Methodology : Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.

- International Rollouts : Experience with multi-country rollouts and handling complex tax/legal scenarios.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.

- 5+ years of SAP SD experience, including at least two full-cycle implementations, rollouts, and support projects.

- Strong understanding of cross-functional processes and dependencies.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
