Android Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Android SDK, Kotlin, and product development, along with hands-on experience in working with APIs, Firebase, and UI/UX design tools like Figma. A deep understanding of Google APIs, Generative AI, and modern Android development practices is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Work closely with the Product and UI/UX teams to implement engaging mobile experiences based on Figma designs.
• Integrate and manage REST APIs and data exchange using Retrofit.
• Implement Firebase services such as Firestore, Authentication, and Push Notifications.
• Leverage Google API Console to integrate third-party services into the application.
• Work with Git for version control and efficient collaboration within the development team.
• Explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities for enhancing the application experience.
• Ensure application stability, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high code quality.
• Stay updated with Android development trends and relevant technologies to continuously enhance the app.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• Android SDK: Strong knowledge of Android development lifecycle and UI components
• Kotlin: Proficient in writing modern, efficient, and maintainable code
• Retrofit: Hands-on experience with API integrations
• Firebase: Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics
• REST API: Understanding of RESTful services and integration methods
• Figma Design: Ability to translate Figma UI/UX designs into working applications
• Google API Console: Experience in integrating Google APIs like Maps, OAuth, and other services
• Git: Proficiency in version control using Git/GitHub
• Generative AI: Familiarity with AI-based features and integrations is a plus
• Relevant Technologies: Knowledge of best practices, libraries, and Android development patterns

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience in publishing applications on Google Play Store.
• Exposure to Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture, and dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
