We have an urgent opening for the position of Manager- Quantity Surveyor/biling Engineer ( @ Bangalore ).

As a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction and development projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that construction projects are executed within budget and cost-effective, while maintaining quality standards. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing budgets, analyzing expenses, and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manager -Quality Surveyor/billing Engineer & Assistant Quality Engineer/ Biling Engineer.-.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with the project team to accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for the construction project
• Monitor project expenses regularly to ensure adherence to the budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement appropriate measures to control expenditure.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to establish favorable terms and conditions for the project
• Prepare detailed budgets based on the cost estimates and project requirements, Bar Bending Schedule, taking into account all necessary factors such as contingencies and inflation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Prepare and present regular reports on project costs, progress, and financial status to stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and advise the project team on measures to mitigate cost-related risks.
• Conduct post-construction evaluations to assess the actual costs against the budget and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
• Valuation and Payment: Prepare interim and final valuations for the work done by contractors and subcontractors, and facilitate payment processes in accordance with contractual terms.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
• Measure and value the work done on site
• Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
• Write MIS reports.
• Preparing RA bills ,BBS
• Preparing reconciliation of construction materials.
• Co-ordination with Site Incharges and update the same with MD
• Preparing rate analysis and BOQ
• Bill and cash flow inspection prepared by junior technical staffs.
• Planning for day today activities and procuring all the resources needed.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification / Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree-B. tech -B.E/ Diploma in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture etc.
• 5 to 10 years of experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Previous working experience in Government project would be an added advantage.
• Comfortable designing and Planning blueprints and drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
• Strong leadership and management skills
