Python Developer

About the Position:We are looking for a passionate and experienced software engineer to join our team at Mumbai (option given for remote working/WFH). In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to take ownership of developing low/mid frequency algorithmic trading engine, related data and microservices.What you will do at QI?1. Work on core low frequency algo trading engine (CEP engine).2. Enhance existing or develop new microservices.3. Design and develop data ingestion systems for different data sources and data types.4. Optimize applications for performance and latency.5. Build reusable codes and libraries. Contribute to open-source projects.6. Stay up to date with new technologies with an eye of constantly adapting and improving our systems and methods.Basic Job Requirements1. More than 2 years work experience in a similar role.2. Strong experience in developing python based large scale OO systems (not just scripting).3. Excellent concepts and command over Python and exposure to Cython/ C/ C++.4. Strong concepts and commercial experience in event driven systems.5. Solid foundation in software development (algorithm design, data structure, SDLC).6. Good concepts of unit testing and automation testing for UI components7. Good understanding of microservices and their deployment in production set-up.Preferred Job Requirements1. Basic understanding of algo trading and financial markets.2. Good understanding of robust design patterns of microservices.3. Strong ability to learn new concepts and apply them to solve real life problems.4.
